April Essentials

Favorite finds from the last month
Discovering new things and recommending my favorites to others is truly one of my most preferred pastimes. Over the last month I found some new natural makeup essentials, picked up a CBT-based journal, had a few opportunities to wear my new sun hat and received the prettiest pair of heels in the mail from Mavette. Read on for more about each item.
Polene Sac Nº9
Handcrafted in Spain, Polene makes lovely leather bags in a wide array of visually interesting shapes. This is the Bag No. 9 in the color chalk, which is an ideal neutral hue for all seasons.
Mavette fiona loafer
Part of Mavette’s consciously crafted collection, these heels are made from supple and sustainable Italian leather and feature an extra cushioned padded insole. Mavette’s leathers are made from hides that are a byproduct of food production and would otherwise be disposed of.
Lack of Color Scalloped Dolce Straw Wide-Brim Hat
Lack of Color has always been an excellent choice for beautifully made hats, and this one is no exception. Perfect for some built in shade this summer with the sweetest scalloped detail. I replaced the band that came with the hat with a satin ribbon for a softer look.
J. hannah Marzipan Nail Polish | Anti-Anxiety Notebook
We picked up a new shade of J. Hannah’s natural nail polish: Marzipan. It’s a really pretty neutral that I’m excited about adding to my spring and summer polish lineup!
The Anti-Anxiety notebook was something I found through Instagram, and I’m really thankful that I did. It was designed by therapists, and consists of Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT)-based prompts made to help you track your emotions, become more aware of thought patterns, and grow over time specifically to reduce anxiety and manage stress.
Saie SunVisor | Saie Brow Gel | Saie Mascara | Tower 28 Cream Blush
I’ve been using these natural makeup products for the last couple of months now and have been enjoying them so much. The Tower Cream Blush was my first foray into non-powder blush and I’m never going back, honestly. The sunscreen is untinted and makes a great base for some light concealer, and the mascara is one of the best I’ve ever used— natural ingredients aside: super lengthening and doesn’t overly coat your lashes.
I hope you enjoyed this post and found something beneficial to try out from a small brand. Have a wonderful day!
