High-quality options for long term wear

Shoes are truly my favorite element of my wardrobe: I’ve spent the last four years gradually building up my collection focusing on versatility; ability to wear in most seasons; unique aspects that speak to me; and high quality, thoughtful materials. Here are the details on each of my most-worn pairs of shoes.

Paloma Wool Margot Boot | Butter Yellow

I purchased this pair of boots back in the Spring of 2021 and they continue to be my favorite shoe I’ve ever owned. They’re made in Spain with respectful tanning and finishing practices that don’t negatively impact the environment.

LoQ Xavi Sandals | Pale Pink & Natural Leather

I bought these in 2019 and they’re no longer available, but you can browse through all of LoQ’s other beautiful sandals and shoes and hopefully you’ll still find something you love.

Vintage Cowboy Boots

I’ve had the most luck finding vintage cowboy boots on Etsy or by thrifting! Especially in the Southwest. :)

Paloma Wool Moon Sandal | Baby blue & black

The Paloma Wool Moon Sandal comes in both black and blue and black and white. Light blue is an easy color to wear since it generally complements most denim, and the black in the sandals ties into the majority of pieces. The black and white pair is another timeless choice if you like the uniqueness of the shoes, but want to be sure they go with most of your wardrobe.

Paloma Wool Singapur Mules | Cream

I bought these mules for my wedding in 2019, and I’ve seen a few pairs on resale sites: if you’re looking for a size 7.5, I found them on Poshmark.

Birkenstock Bostons | Oiled Leather, Tobacco

I’ve wanted this pair of Birks since I was about 16, and I’m not entirely sure what I was waiting for— but so glad I have them now. They’re simple to dress up and down and they’re the perfect shoe to throw on for grabbing the mail or running a quick errand.

Aeyde Kate Boots | Cream

Aeyde makes some of my favorite shoes, and these square toe + pointed toe boots are so comfortable and elegant. See their new collection here.

Vagabond Jillian Loafer | Black

I spent a good year considering the shape I wanted for a pair of loafers and ultimately settled on these slightly chunky, square toe pair from Vagabond. The pair linked above have several sizes currently available (though in a crocodile-style of leather). The pair I have in plain black are essentially sold out at the moment, but here are some available pairs on Nordstrom, the fairly similar Eyra Loafer, and the original pair in case they restock.

Veja V-10 | White

Vejas have been my favorite sneaker for the last four years: I’m on my second pair (that I’ve committed to keeping more pristine than the last), and reserve my old pair for dustier terrains. If you’re not into plain white, Madewell always carries some playful, colorful options. I love that Vejas are made of Amazon Rainforest rubber and rice waste, recycled polyester and cotton.

As always, you can find more of my favorites over on Objects or follow my Favorites List on the Nate app to see as I add new pieces, make your own lists and make purchases all in one place. I hope you found a pair of shoes that you really love!
