A 26” x 38” custom light wood frame from Simply Framed

I wanted to share a bit about our new light wood picture frame that arrived recently from Simply Framed.

My partner made this art print for me two years ago for Valentine’s Day (cute) from a photo he took in the Quartz Mountains in Oklahoma. He ended up painting shapes and cutting out parts of the print and adding in a reflective strip creating quite a dynamic visual, and after it was finished, we took some time deciding where to get it framed.

We knew we’d need something super large— 26” x 38” to be exact, so we looked into a number of framing companies and ended up going with Simply Framed.

We’re over the moon with how it turned out! Everything from the natural light wood to UV-protected, non-reflective acrylic and floated mat (dry mount to hidden lift) look exquisite.

A few perks of using Simply Framed are that everything’s made here in the US, the brand custom builds each piece, and they offer refunds if your framed art doesn’t turn out how you envisioned.

Ordering was a seamless process from start to finish; we chose our frame, glass and mounting setup; mailed in our art and Simply Framed returned the piece fully assembled and ready to hang.

If you don’t have a custom piece, you can also order prints, personal photos and Instagram photos.

We chose to line up the bottom of the frame with the bottom of our Frame TV for a continuous wraparound look that’s most evident when you’re sitting on the couch.

Next up, Nick’s going to be making a large painted canvas piece that will live on the wall leaning up next to this piece. We’ve really wanted to add to this large white wall, so it’s been great to see it all come together! I’ll share another post once the canvas is up so you can see how the entire wall looks.
