Everything new around the apartment
It’s been a minute—here’s everything we’ve added to the apartment over the last several months—vintage and new!
I love this catchall: it’s massive and so well-made. Perfect for matchbooks, jewelry, and displaying stacks of polaroids. Tree House from Byredo is one of the best scents ever made: it didn’t take more than a few minutes with the trial size to decide we needed to pick up a full size candle immediately. A friend got the adorable candle box for my birthday (pictured throughout a few of the photos in this post) and got the chrome bow with it as well.
Ratio Eight
The Ratio Eight pour-over machine has been a game changer: we’ve been hand-grinding our beans and making pour-overs for the last seven years, so having the work done for us has been such a treat.
VINTAGE DRESSER
Finding the vintage dresser that matches my dining table (four years after finding the table in Oregon) was a twist I never saw coming. My plan is to bring the dining table into my office as a desk with a slightly smaller glass top and to replace the dining table with something sturdier and wider so we can host bigger dinners!
Gallery Hallway
We’re in the process of filling our hallway with framed photos and art: we’ve got a handful of pieces left to go and I’ve been documenting the process on TikTok if you’re interested to see more close-ups of the matboards and frames.
ROCCO FRIDGE
I added the Rocco Super Smart Fridge to my office recently, and it’s been a dream to free up the space previously taken by cans and bottles in the kitchen fridge.
TEKLA Towels
We finally pulled the trigger on a set of striped towels from Tekla. We soaked them for 24 hours before washing and bringing them into the rotation, which I’d highly recommend doing for optimum fluffiness. They look so pretty in the bathrooms and really bring some cohesion into an otherwise average space.
Gantri | Bamboo Lantern
Gantri recently introduced a line of lanterns into their offering, and they’re all so unique and well-made. This was simple to install and added a perfectly delicate glow to my office.
HUE LIGHTS & HAY LANTERNS
We replaced all of the lightbulbs in the apartment with Hue Lights which you can control from your phone: you can choose from hundreds of color schemes, temperature and brightness levels, and set different modes for various times of day. We also replaced the round lanterns with marshmallow-shaped lanterns from HAY for a bit of a change!
FELLOW KETTLE
Our all-black Fellow kettle was on its last leg after eight years of daily use, so we replaced it with this gorgeous cream + maple colorway.
