Sandals & Loafers for Summer 2024

HEREU Black Alber Loafer, $368 + see a similar style in chocolate brown

I love browsing men’s shoes: I’m eternally adding to my husband’s Christmas list and I thought I’d share what I’ve been liking for the warmer months. While Summer dressing tends to be the trickiest—as you’re often shedding the layers that bring personality and dimension into an outfit—I like the concept of bringing that personality back in with a statement shoe. I feel confident that even when worn with a simple short and vintage tee, this lineup of (primarily) leather shoes will elevate the look. Whether you’re heading to an outdoor concert or wandering the cobblestone streets of Saint-Tropez this summer, I’ve pulled together some beautiful shoes that offer a blend of craftsmanship, comfortability, and sophistication. Hope you find something you love.

G.H. Bass Weejun Venetian Weave Loafer, $185

These light loafers are ideal for summer: they’re made of nappa leather and feature handsewn moc stitching. I can picture these shoes existing flawlessly in any era with a breezy, wide-leg linen pant an oversized polo.

NEW BALANCE 2002R, $145

A modern twist on 2000s running shoes, the 2002R men's sneaker elevates warm-weather style with their breezy, gentle hue. This throwback silhouette is crafted with premium suede and mesh material that creates a more luxe look than your everyday sneaker.

Hereu Cargol whipstitch leather sandals, $450

These Hereu slides are made of dark brown calf leather with whipstitch detailing, a round closed toe, and a branded leather insole with a buckle-fastening slingback strap. I’d style them with these wide-leg shorts and a lightweight button-down.

G.H. Bass Venetian Weejun Loafer, $175

The moc toe on these feel so classic and so South of France. The perfect blend of city-friendly dress shoe and summery-boat shoe ready to carry you though the rest of the year, complete with handsewn moc stitching.

Camper Pelotas Flota Fisherman Sandals, $140

These playful, chunky leather sandals are the ideal Euro-Summer companion: these ultra-lightweight shoes travel well and last through your 20k-step-days with their cushioned footbeds.

Camper Brutus Clog, $215

For a similar—but more cost-effective—option to the Hereu Whistitch Sandals, look to these clogs from Camper. Pair with a pale neutral sock and a trouser short.

Saye M89 Vanilla & Basil, $175

This vintage-inspired gender-neutral sneaker offers both style and versatility, designed with maximum comfort and environmentally friendly production in mind. This model is a staple SAYE piece, from its’ premium feel to its’ production: these shoes are made from cactus, mango and apple.

Kleman Padrini Shoe, $129

I’m a big fan of Kleman’s shoes—they have so many great sillhouettes, are made of high-quality leather and are on the more affordable side, espeically if you opt for the previous season. These bode well for day-to-day summer wear, break in easily for lots of walking, look solid as a wedding-guest shoe and carry nicely through every season.
