We’ve been bringing out our lighter linens for warmer days and looking to update some essentials around the house. There are some beautiful, unique, and sustainable brands making inviting textiles for your space: think pastel bedding, flowing curtains, non-toxic mattresses, silky sheets, robes and throw blankets. We’re looking forward to sharing them with you here, just tap on the image to shop.

Mattresses

First up, we’ve got the Parachute Mattress: this environmentally friendly mattress is made to order in the U.S. and is foam-free. It’s made of pure New Zealand wool, 100% organic cotton and tempered steel. The mattress is certified by the Wool Integrity NZ™ program and comes with a 10 year warranty.

Sheet Sets

Tekla makes Oeko-Tex Standard 100-certified organic cotton percale bedding in an array of stunning color ways.

Sheet Sets

Coyuchi offers a wide variety of bedding and lines, but we particularly love their sheet sets. Their linen is GOTS-Certified and Made Safe Certified. The Global Organic Textile Standard (GOTS) is the top certification for ecologically and socially responsible practices throughout every step in the supply chain of textiles.

The MADE SAFE® seal confirms that a household product is free of any and all toxins known or suspected to harm human health, animals, or ecosystems. Certified goods have been thoroughly examined by researchers and scientists to ensure they’re made without known behavioral toxins, carcinogens, developmental toxins, endocrine disruptors, flame retardants, heavy metals, neurotoxins, high risk pesticides, reproductive toxins, toxic solvents, or harmful VOCs.

Comforters

Buffy offers two different comforters: The Cloud (earth-friendly, fit for all seasons, extra fluffy and cruelty-free) and The Breeze (also earth-friendly, made of 100% eucalyptus, temperature-regulating, cool to the touch and cruelty-free.) Their fabric is made from eucalyptus that's grown using 10x less water than cotton: unlike traditional down bedding, the brand’s fill keeps 50 plastic bottles out of landfills and protects 12 geese from live plucking. All products from Buffy come with a trial period so you’re able to return what you don’t love. I do want to note that we used The Breeze for about a year in 2019 and enjoyed it, but wouldn’t say it was significantly more temperature-regulating than any other comforter, which is the main reason we got it.

Comforters

This is our current duvet insert/comforter from Quince, and it’s made of a 100% cotton sateen shell with a 230 thread count. It’s Responsible Down Standard Certified, available in lightweight or all-season.

Bed Pillows

Coyuchi offers feather, down and latex pillows. Their Molded Organic Latex Pillow, for instance, is made of pure, GOLS-certified organic Dunlop latex for exceptional resilience and durability. Harvested by tapping trees, natural latex rubber is a renewable, biodegradable foam. Naturally breathable and resistant to mold, mildew, and dust mites, it’s an ideal material for those with mold or dust sensitivities.

Rugs

This 100% wool rug is from OKEJ, made in Sweden.

RUGS

Another stunning and unique rug option, this one is from Mush Studios, handmade of New Zealand wool.

RUGS

The Jaque Checkered Rug from Ruggable is sustainably and ethically made in America, as are all of their rugs. They have hundreds of styles and colorways to choose from, take a look here.

Bath Towels

Onto the bathroom, this Oeko-Tex®-certified cotton terrycloth towel from Dusen Dusen features graphic pattern in blue and white.
