I finally sold my Birkenstock Bostons (in tobacco-oiled leather, by the way) last week after noticing that I hadn’t reached for them in years. I wanted to identify what was keeping me from them so I wouldn’t repeat the same mistake with future clog purchases: the sole of the shoe felt too thin and flimsy for the upper material—they didn’t feel like they were matching each other’s energy, so to speak. I have a long list of other clogs I think I’d enjoy much more, and to start, I picked up the Gardana clogs.
