There's nothing quite like slipping into a luxurious set of cool, silky loungewear on a hot day: feeling relaxed and indulging in comfort during the summer months is a priority, so we've curated a collection of loungewear and sleepwear brands that combine style and breathability. Featuring airy sleeves and flowing cuts, these pieces will keep you feeling effortless— even on the hottest days. Whether you plan on enjoying lazy mornings in bed, hosting intimate gatherings at home, or simply cherishing some downtime: these comfy sets and separates are your sustainable choices for summer.
Lunya | 15% off — code FORLIVINGCO | Prices start at $48
Lunya is, without a doubt, my favorite loungewear brand. I recently picked up these Pima wide-leg pants and have been wearing them out as well as at home, and so many of their pieces offer this dual functionality: their silk skirts, modal boyshorts (!), flowing dresses, and silky pants are perfect for day-to-day wear, too.
Aday | Prices start at $95
Aday is new to me, and I’m glad to have stumbled across it. They offer sustainable capsules with considered, comfortable pieces. You might like the At Your Peak Shorts which are made of a recycled crepe material, which is quick-drying, breathable, and resistant to pilling.
Shona Joy | Prices start around $120
Shona Joy offers gorgeous, silky sets using considered materials like LENZING™ ECOVERO™. They also carry a full range of elevated clothing perfect for your bridal or wedding guest wardrobes.
Skin | Sale prices start at $15, Full price items start at $75
Skin focuses on using natural fibers (that protect and soothe the body) with social and environmental responsibility, and believes in a simplified wardrobe of essentials that you can genuinely feel good in. Offering options in certified organic cotton, they aim to reduce harmful chemicals that touch our bodies, and within the supply chain— keeping you, their team, and our planet as healthy and vibrant as nature intended. Through the use of these natural materials, they’re able to offer a superior amount of breathability and thus wearability in warmer weather.
Harvest & Mill | Prices start at $54
Harvest & Mill works directly with organic cotton farmers, heritage mills, and family-owned factories, all in the USA. They are working to rebuild American supply chains with clean and ethical practices from seed to stitch.
Organic Basics | Prices start at $16
Organic Basics holds itself accountable: part of that means asking whether or not it is even possible to be a sustainable brand. Producing things means contributing to a system that is already overflowing with newness. But finding certain things like underwear second-hand might not be optimal— personal hygiene, size availability, and wear and tear can make it hard to find what you’re looking for. Because of this, they’ve chosen to produce the everyday basics that are difficult to find secondhand and produce them as responsibly as possible. To make this possible, they use recycled, recyclable, plant-based, and organic materials, ethical means of production, and only collaborate with people, factories, and companies that are as passionate as they are about making good basics without harming the planet in the process.
Jenni Kayne | Prices start at $145
Jenni Kayne offers lightweight linen options like the top above, plus robes and pants. They also have a full line of clothing— for lounging, you’ll find easy beachwear and other staples like oversized shirts and cotton dresses. With a focus on inviting neutrals, quality construction, and attention to detail, Jenni Kayne’s pieces stand the test of time.
Ettitude | Prices start at $149
Ettitude makes a selection of vegan silk sets that are tailored to look and feel polished while breathable and roomy to let you move freely. They use soft—yet durable—bamboo which is designed to transition from bed to brunch with ease. Also love that the fabric is hypoallergenic! See also: their silk slip dress.
Vitamin A | Prices start at $88
Vitamin A is all about feeling good, looking good, and doing good. From design to production, distribution, and charitable partnerships. Every purchase prioritizes the health of our planet: through their partnership with 1% For The Planet, they give a portion of every sale to organizations that protect our oceans.
