March Favorites
Current favorite brands, books and music.
Every couple months, I’ll be sharing a post about what I’ve been finding whether that’s a new brand, a book, music or small businesses to support. Here are a few of those things.
Pink Vase
This vase is from The Yo Store! A favorite shop in Portland for vintage, local artisans and self-care items.
Vitruvi Oils
Forever diffusing Grove and Boost. Grove smells like a forest in the rain and boost smells like a citrus-based cocktail. Grab 20% off your purchase with code SAMLANDRETH, that’s a $23 discount on the diffuser.
Organic, Fair Trade Coconut Oil Candles
Burning traditional candles is super harmful to our health due to mystery ingredients in fragrances and carcinogens (any substance that promotes carcinogenesis, the formation of cancer.) — Read more on that here. I’ve switched to using unscented candles like these little tea light babies and PHLUR’s candles exclusively.
Silver Cuffs
Nick got these for me for Christmas and they’re so simple and beautiful. They seamlessly tie together every outfit — highly recommend Loren Stewart’s brand.
A Moveable Feast
Nick just finished this book and handed it off for me to read and it’s so nostalgic and gripping. I’ve been to Cuba and Paris and have visited some of Hemingway’s most frequented bars, book stores and restaurants in each place but had never read any of his books for whatever reason. We’re heading to Paris together at the end of the month and we wanted to read something of his before our trip, and then visit his neighborhood and favorite parts of the city together. Cannot wait.
Music
My favorites at the moment are Cape Francis, Kacey Musgraves, Maggie Rogers, Broncho, Tennis and Prep. Have a listen…
