Ocean Conservation with United by Blue
1.8 million pounds of trash removed from the world’s oceans
United by Blue is a brand I’ve admired for a while:
For every product sold, they remove one pound of trash from our world’s oceans and waterways. Since 2010, they’ve removed 1,756,888 pounds of trash from the water. (!)
They organize and host cleanups to make a measurable impact on the most pressing of environmental problems: ocean trash and plastics pollution.

United by Blue’s products are made with sustainable materials (hemp, organic cotton, recycled polyester from plastic bottles). They’re also completely eliminating single use plastic from the company by World Oceans Day, 2020.
Purchasing a product is a direct way to essentially donate to cleanup efforts while receiving a sustainable clothing or functional item that you’ll get use out of: company revenue funds their conservation efforts.
The Revolution Bags are a new collection comprised of 100% recycled polyester (by way of single use plastic water bottles). They’re waterproof and stain-resistant!
I’m very in on the brand’s mission and the steps they’re taking to eliminate plastic from our oceans. Check out their bags, reusable utensil kits and travel cases here.
