When I got started in portrait photography in 2014, I loved moodier edits. I enjoyed the way colors felt muted, tones were darker and more emotional. I continued on with that style of editing until Fall of 2017: this was when I decided to dive into a completely different editing style for the lifestyle blog. I thought it would be an interesting experiment to try something that didn’t feel as natural to me.

That was definitely fun for a bit — then in Fall of 2018, I decided to head back in my initial direction. I began to find a style that was muted but pigmented and that felt more like my old style but more modern and and accurate color-wise. That’s what has morphed into the last year’s worth of edits!

I initially planned to launch these new mobile presets in the Spring, but wanted more time to work on them and make them feel cohesive.

They’re what I edit all of my iPhone photos with and I’m really happy with the overall feel of them. The photos below and on the FAQ page are all one-click edits.
