CLEAR THE AIR WITH 18 NASA-APPROVED HOUSEPLANTS

Peace Lily

After realizing that it might be beneficial to buy an air purifier for the apartment the other day, I was searching for the best options, looking into combination purifiers and dehumidifiers with the works — and then I realized that I probably didn’t need another electronic appliance to do this for me.

I began looking into plants as air purifiers, and came across NASA’s study on the topic and committed to investing in a few of the best air purifying plants available. The good news is that aroid plants thrive well in most environments, soaking up diffused light and remaining fairly unfussy.

Below are the best air purifying plants. My personal favorites are the Peace lily, Chinese Evergreen, Bamboo Palm and the Heartless Philodendron. I encourage you to view this study out for yourself and consider investing in some plants for your space to naturally purify the air and rid your home of toxins, mold and heavy metals.
